Cheap Florida Holidays
While Florida isn’t the cheapest destination to visit from the UK, there are ways to cut the cost. Florida Masters offer cheap Florida holidays to destinations such as Orlando, the Florida Keys, the Gold and Gulf Coasts, and Miami, so you can save on travel and have more money in your pocket. Here are some ways to save on your next Florida trip.
School holidays tend to drive up the prices of Florida Holidays, so if you can avoid July, August, Easter, and the Christmas period then you’ll save a lot of money. The cheapest times to fly to Florida are generally November (outside Thanksgiving), January, and February. Don’t worry, you’ll usually enjoy sunny weather during these times. If you want to fly during the summer period, then May and June are the cheapest summer months, and the weather is warm and pleasant.
Look at different accommodation types
If you are travelling as a couple or small family group, then some of the cheapest Florida holidays consist of a flight plus hotel accommodation. Florida Masters offer a wide choice of hotels, including places inside Disney World, so there’s usually something to suit your budget.
If you are staying in Orlando, then the closer you are to attractions such as Disney World, the more expensive it’s generally going to be. Since car hire is cheap, and many hotels offer shuttle buses, budget travellers often get better deals by staying a little further from the parks. If you are staying in a beach town such as Sarasota or Fort Lauderdale, then staying right on the coast is usually the most expensive option. Staying inland, even just a short stroll from the beach, will make your stay cheaper.
Travel as a group
Travelling to Florida as a group can make the price per head much cheaper. This is because Florida has an excellent selection of villas, townhouses, and condos, which can comfortably accommodate larger groups. If you work out the cost per person, you may find it’s much cheaper than a hotel room. It also means you have access to cooking facilities, and can save money by self-catering.
Order park tickets in advance
If you are planning on visiting theme parks, then it pays to plan in advance. Not only will you avoid having to stand in queues in the hot sun, but you’ll save a lot of money. You can often buy package tickets, for example, passes that cover Universal Orlando, Seaworld, and several other parks, and the longer you book a ticket for, the cheaper it works out per day.
